The paper describes the spiritual of handcrafts and it thinks that the handcrafts is the art of living, it can happily c o m b i n e t h e h e a r t a n d h a n d s . I n t h e industrial society, the spiritual of handcrafts is still remaining though the traditional handcrafts are replaced by machines. It is useful to study the handcrafts in the m o d e r n d e s i g n e d u c a t i o n p r o g r a m s , because it can promote the students to realize the whole process of developing a product and cultivate the design social responsibility of students.
