Based on the case of Kneeling Bus in America, this paper discusses the characteristics of American humanitarian design and its design philosophy. Through the analysis focused on the entrance, stop requested, signal, emergency exit, wheelchair area, etc., the philosophy of American humanitarian design is summarized as kindness, sincerity and beauty. This design not only brings passengers convenience, respect as well as pleasant experience, but also is worthy of reference for Chinese design.
