The literature, observation, interview and SWOT models were used for data and data collection and analysis to diagnose the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges of the industrial design industry development in Chancheng district, Foshan city. The general idea of the development of industrial design industry in Chancheng district was clarified, and specific countermeasures and suggestions were put forward. Chancheng district needs to optimize existing design policies, exert “design +”, connect science and technology innovation corridor of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and play the role of node hub in “Bay Area Design” to establish a leading edge of innovation and development in the new era.
